Program Overview

The Kentucky Chapter - American College of Cardiology (KY-ACC) meeting is an opportunity for cardiovascular healthcare providers in the area to join together for an annual update. The half-day meeting covers topics relevant to many in cardiovascular medicine. After reviewing ACC efforts at the national and state level, our invited speakers will cover topics focused on primary and secondary heart disease prevention, cutting-edge techniques for acute neurovascular intervention, new-generation imaging technologies, and an exciting keynote update on the emerging technologies for percutaneous aortic and mitral valve interventions.

Overall Goal Statement:

The goal of this program is to provide informational and practical information on various developments with in the field of cardiology.

Overall Learning Objectives:

Target Audience:

This program is designed for physicians or other practitioners in the field of cardiology with an emphasis on current practice trends within cardiovascular medicine.

Physicians Still Caring for Kentucky

The General Session programs on Monday and Tuesday will feature top national speakers focusing on doctor-patient relationships and prescription drug abuse.  The first meeting of the KMA House of Delegates will take place at 11:00 am immediately following the Monday General Session.  Other important events include Reference Committees, the KPPAC Reception, and the President’s Installation and Awards Dinner.  In addition, 16 specialty groups will hold their scientific meetings September 21-22.  Program details and information on hotel accommodations are available at www.kyma.org.
