The Kentucky Chapter - American College of Cardiology (KY-ACC) meeting is an opportunity for cardiovascular healthcare providers in the area to join together for an annual update. The half-day meeting covers topics relevant to many in cardiovascular medicine. After reviewing ACC efforts at the national and state level, our invited speakers will cover topics focused on primary and secondary heart disease prevention, cutting-edge techniques for acute neurovascular intervention, new-generation imaging technologies, and an exciting keynote update on the emerging technologies for percutaneous aortic and mitral valve interventions.
The goal of this program is to provide informational and practical information on various developments with in the field of cardiology.
This program is designed for physicians or other practitioners in the field of cardiology with an emphasis on current practice trends within cardiovascular medicine.
This program has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Kentucky Medical Association (KMA). The KMA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The KMA designates this workshop for 3.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.
It is the policy of the KMA to comply with the ACCME standards for commercial support of CME. Planning Committee members and related staff disclosures must be on file annually with disclosures made available on program materials. Faculty participating in sponsored or jointly sponsored programs by KMA are required to disclose to the program audience any real or apparent financial relationships with commercial interests related to the content of their presentation(s). Physicians Still Caring for Kentucky

The General Session programs on Monday and Tuesday will feature top national speakers focusing on doctor-patient relationships and prescription drug abuse. The first meeting of the KMA House of Delegates will take place at 11:00 am immediately following the Monday General Session. Other important events include Reference Committees, the KPPAC Reception, and the President’s Installation and Awards Dinner.
