*During American Heart Month, Local Heart Experts Ready to Discuss Women's Heart Health, Kentucky's Cardiovascular Crisis, and Life-Saving Prevention Tips*

**WHO:**

Board-certified cardiologists from across Kentucky, representing the Kentucky Chapter of the American College of Cardiology, are available for on-camera, phone, and print interviews throughout February—American Heart Month. Cardiologists are available in the following regions:

- Louisville Metro Area
- Lexington/Central Kentucky
- Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati
- Bowling Green/South Central Kentucky
- Eastern Kentucky/Appalachian Region
- Western Kentucky

**WHAT:** Cardiologists can speak to a wide range of heart health topics, including:

- **Women and Heart Disease:** Why cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of women, unique symptoms women experience, and what women need to know to protect their hearts
- **Kentucky's Heart Health Crisis:** Why the Commonwealth ranks among the worst states for cardiovascular health and what can be done
- **Heart Health in Appalachia:** Addressing cardiovascular disparities in rural and underserved communities
- **Prevention That Works:** Evidence-based lifestyle changes that can prevent up to 80% of heart disease
- **Warning Signs:** Recognizing heart attack and stroke symptoms—and why every second counts
- **Know Your Numbers:** Understanding blood pressure, cholesterol, and other key cardiovascular risk factors
- **Heart Health at Every Age:** From young adults to seniors—when to start thinking about your heart
- **Advances in Cardiology:** New treatments, technologies, and research improving outcomes for heart patients

**WHEN:** Throughout February 2026 — American Heart Month

Interviews are available for:

- Radio interviews (in-studio or phone)
